This plan is adapted for your control room and gives all the information needed for a brillant performance. The lighting plan includes luminance pictures and incorporates all the lighting bulbs and so on in your existing control room.
The lighting design is based on our experience in the control room surrounding. A 7 x 24 hours workspace with overall too much light. Adjustable light is used in most cases where we work, suggested luminance is explained to the client, but individual adjustment is still possible. Exterial lighting is also taken into account with the design of the lightplan. This has implications on sunscreens. A new trend in lighting is "bio-lighting". This involves not only the amount of light in a room, but also a adjustment in colouring for a complete well being of the control room operators.
The use of indirect lighting is quite normal in control rooms. Due to the TFT screens the reflection of light in the screens has become an minor issue for the operator. However the sunlight must be taken into account when designing the proper arrangement of the console or workspace.
We will use a lighting calculation programm based on a huge database of light fixtures. So the design is completed with all specifications.
